Esprit Equo Shea Butter is recommended for the treatment of very dry skin, damaged hair, chapped lips, after shaving and for body massage. Excellent as an after-sun.

Directions for use:  For a deeply hydrating and nourishing action, melt the necessary amount of Shea Butter, warming it with your hands and massage in a circular motion on the affected area until completely absorbed.
 
For hair treatment, apply especially to the ends one or two hours before shampooing.
Shea butter is extracted from a woody plant belonging to the Sapotaceae group, Vitellaria Paradoxa, which grows spontaneously in West Africa.
 
Considered sacred, Butyrospermum parkii is also called “tree of health and youth” for its beneficial properties. African women have used it for generations, as a beauty remedy, but also to protect the skin from the aggression of solar rays and atmospheric agents.
 
The harvesting of shea nuts and the production of butter is traditionally carried out in villages by women, for whom it represents an important source of livelihood.
 
The shea used in the Esprit Equo line comes from the Songtaaba women's association founded in 1990. The association is involved in literacy, training, and health projects. It was the first association in Burkina Faso to produce a certified organic shea butter.
 
Esprit Equo BIO Shea Butter is obtained through “cold mechanical pressure”, a natural method that produces a top quality, white, pure butter with unaltered organoleptic characteristics. The yield of this process is unfortunately rather low as it does not allow the nuts to be completely squeezed.
The shea butter obtained undergoes a further deodorization process, through a current of water vapor, a process that allows for greater stability over time, eliminating residual elements of odor and oxidation of the product.
